Oh I'm sorry. Can I say some?'Franzi said, 'Yes, sure.'
Paula said, 'I left the club and we talked outside on the curb. Franzi told me this wasn't something she planned. And she wasn't trying to be unfaithful to Philip or force me to leave my husband. It just....happened.'
Franzi said, 'I was fine with us being friends and having fun together. Before Paula left for training, we sometimes took trips with the scooter.'
Paula added, 'Yeah. And I'm pretty sure YOU broke it on purpose one time.'
Franzi scuffled and asked, 'When?'
Paula answered, 'Uh. When we went to the barn and had a hay fight.'
Franzi replied, 'I didn't even know I had those feelings for you then. I just enjoyed being with you.'
Paula said, 'Mm hmm.'
Daniel appeared at the entrance of the dining hall and Paula noticed him walking towards them.
Paula stood and said, 'Daniel. Hi' and kissed him on the cheek.
Daniel said, 'It's nice to finally meet you all.' Andreas and Gertrud stood and shook Daniel's hand. 'Gutentaug, Mosier. It is nice to meet you.'
Daniel replied, 'It is all the nicer to meet you, Sir, Madam.' After the small talk, they all got to talking about Franzi's life, not just the parts of her and Paula.
Daniel said, 'Franzi was an excellent hostess at Mocca. If there were any more of her, I'd retire.'
Franzi said, 'He's only exaggerating. I was just an average worker.'
Daniel responded, 'Only on the outside. But you were always dependable, considerate, and she could always be counted on to help out at a moment's notice.'
Gertrud dropped another peddle in the pond and asked, 'Then how did she come to steal?'
Franzi's mother had taken a moment of joy and remembrance and flushed it into the sewers. Everybody was speechless and hurt. Franzi said, 'Excuse me', wheeled her chair away from her mother and hid behind Paula. Franzi sent an angry vibe as she shifted her chair. Gertrud looked at Franzi and tried to ask what happened but she didn't get a word out. All she got was a backside view of Franzi's chair and then a right side view of Franzi in her chair. Daniel moved his chair beside Paula, crossed his arms across his chest, and looked at Gertrud with dismay. When Franzi's mother looked to Andreas for anything, all she got was him looking at her with contempt and disappointment.
Like a pre-programmed robot, Franzi said, 'I want to go back to my room.'
Andreas said, 'Franzeska, please let...'
Franzi strongly said, 'I said I want to go back to my room. Goodbye, all.' Then she rolled off in a fit.
Daniel and Paula got up to help Franzi to her room. When Daniel put his hands on her chair, Franzi grabbed them away, kept rooling, and snapped, 'I can do this myself! I'm not some cripple who needs adult supervision.' Daniel and Paula stood back and let Franzi yell and roam on away. 'Unless you think I'll do something even more stupid than stealing; like trying to get back on my feet, or open up to my OH SO LOVING PARENTS, or maybe I'll just do them a favor and drop dead. Give them some more dirt to talk about without giving me a chance to fix things up!'
Franzi screamed all this through the hallways with Paula, Daniel, and Franzi's parents holding at the dining hall entrance. When Franzi made it to her room, she yelled 'Goodbye, all!' and slammed the door.
