Franzi interrupted, 'You are not worthless. It hurts me to hear you talk like that.'

Emily replied, 'Whole lot better out than in. Bad thoughts build up, pretty soon it's all you can hear.' Then Emily looked at the time and said, 'Listen. I've gotta go now if I'm gonna make my session today.'

Franzi asked, 'Are you sure? Cause a hurting heart doesn't belong behind a wheel.'

Emily was touched by Franzi's care for her but she was sure about making it to her appointment.

Emily nodded her head "Yes" and said, 'I'm sure. I'll be okay. Just...get better...and get out of here.' Franzi nodded in response. Then she took Emily's hand, said 'Good luck', and kissed Emily's knuckles.

Emily said, 'Thank you' and kissed Franzi's right cheek.
