FAITHS POV

Damn…This it definitely not what I expected. They have come into a lot of money cause dang…I guess I should park over here. Better to not let them know I’m here just yet…The bush looks big enough I guess, it should do…….Well it’s now or never I knew I’d have to face them again eventually….what am I thinking I can’t do this….there is no way they’re gonna help me let alone let me leave in one piece. Especially after I…I…no I can’t think about that...it wasn’t my fault...so what if they hate me and Buffy wants to kill me….It’s not like…wait a minute I know….I know that… why is Oh no…..

“She’s here”, Gage said looking out the window in the library. Buffy looked up at him in confusion.

“Buffy I’m getting an unknown reading on the scanner”, Andrew said looking at the laptop as he walked into the room and went to the table to Buffy. “It’s not showing whether it’s evil or not. It must have found a way to slip through….”

Gage took off running out of the library to a long hallway. Buffy, Willow, and Dawn followed leaving a stunned Andrew and Giles looking at each other. “I suggest we follow”, Giles said leaving the room to follow the others as Andrew sped up to catch him with the laptop still in his hands.

Gage ran down the hallway that led to the house next door. As he entered the area that led to the house Buffy yelled at him, “Gage please stop, and tell me what is going on”.

Wait…no it can’t be…I’m gonna kill. Buffy thought to herself the anger building.

“Buffy….I don’t know if it’s just… I think I sense...” Willow tried to say as she came up next to Buffy. Not really knowing for sure what she was sensing. They both rounded the corner as Buffy froze. Just when she was about to say something she was interrupted.

“A heya B. What’s up, and before you”, Faith said before she looked at the small body running towards her

“Faith”, Gage yelled as he ran towards the brunette. Faith stood at the door shocked for a second before she bent down to capture the boy in her arms as he ran to her.

“Get away from him”, Dawn shouted before lifting her arm causing Faith to be pushed against the door. Faith struggled as she gasped for air. Gage looked towards her and glared. Dawn immediately let her arm drop. Shocked at the firery look the little boy had given. Gage then turned back around and went towards Faith; they both captured each other in a big hug. Willow tried to hide her smirk.

Faith held her breath before saying, “I tnac eveileb…tahw era uoy gniod ereh”? (I can’t believe…what are you doing here)

“nomraC, era uoy dam” (Carmon, are you mad), Gage asked looking at her a little scared.

“No”, she replied before giving him a kiss on his forehead.

Buffy and the others stood there stunned at the sight before them. They didn’t know what else to do but stand there and watch. Willow looked at Giles Puzzled. “Don’t look at me. I haven’t a clue what they’re saying either”, Giles replied answering Willows’ questioning look. She let out a breath relieved.

“I ees uoy evah neeb gnicitcarp gnidih” (I see you have been practicing hiding), Faith said smirking. He gently looked at her and smiled.

“mi yrros I tndid wonk fi ti saw uoy rof erus ro ton, os I tndid” (I’m sorry I didn’t know if it was you for sure or not, so I didn’t), he tried to say before looking down.

“era uoy erus” (are you sure), she asked as she lifted an eyebrow and smirked. She put her hand under his small chin and lifted so now he was looking at her.  She stole a quick glance at Buffy and then the others before smiling and looking back at Gage. It was all she could do to keep from laughing from the looks on all their faces.

“No”, Gage answered before turning his head to look at Buffy. Buffy just looked back at him confused.

What the heck are they saying to each other?  And how the hell does she know Gage. Why do they keep looking at me? She was about to ask before Faith’s voice interrupted her from her thoughts.

“uoy wonk tahw I kniht I kniht ouy erew diarfa taht fi uoy dewohs flesrouy dna uoy wenk neht yeht dluow wonk oot” (you know what I think I think you were afraid that if you showed yourself and you knew then they would know too), she asked already knowing the answer. He nodded yes before he sniffed as tears started to fall down his cheeks.

“Oh…shhh…it’s okay, don’t cry I’m not mad”, she said. Everyone looked at them glad that they could finally understand something.

“Really”, he asked.

“Yeah” she said smiling, her dimples showing as her nose crinkled a bit. Gage smiled back at her his face copying her actions.

Oh my god it can’t be. I can’t take this anymore. “What are you doing here…And …and how do you know Gage”, Buffy asked walking closer to the two. She was finally fed up with just waiting and she wanted answers. She wanted them now.

Faith picked up the small boy afraid of the look on Buffy’s face. She could feel the hate, fear, and anger radiating off of her. She looked to the ground before saying, “I’m here cause I need Will...Reds’ help”, she said as she kept her gaze locked on the ground. “And well I…I know Gage cause well he’s…..he’s my son”. She finally looked up into the very stunned eyes of the blonde. Buffy opened her mouth to say something but no words came out.

“That explains a lot”, Xander said.

“I knew it”, Dawn said the same time as Willow spoke.

“Huh”, Buffy replied looking at both of them.

“I mean it was totally obvious. I mean look at him he looks just like her. Well except for his hair and his nose. Come think of they look like yours, which that’s weird”, Dawn said starting to ramble. Faith looked up and met Willows stare like she had been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. So she just turned her head looked around like nothing had happened. But Willow wasn’t stupid, but she decided it would be best to ask Faith about it later.
